A one-day festival for audio drama creatives
Keynote Speaker
Nicholas Briggs
Executive producer, creative director, writer, director, actor,
sound designer and composer
Nicholas Briggs is a polymath, directing, acting, sound designing, composing for, writing and producing numerous releases since Big Finish began.
He wrote the first Doctor Who release for Big Finish, The Sirens of Time and created the first Big Finish spin-off series, Dalek Empire. He became executive producer alongside Jason Haigh-Ellery in July 2006.
Along with all his Doctor Who audio work, Nick has reimagined The Prisoner and Space: 1999 as audio drama and created the Big Finish Original The Human Frontier.
His Dalek voices for Big Finish led to him being cast in the role in the revived TV series, as well as playing a host of other monsters including Cybermen and the Judoon.
Awards include the BBC Audio Drama award for Best Online or Non-Broadcast Drama for The Great War in the The Eighth Doctor Adventures – Dark Eyes, and the Audie Audio Drama award for The Martian Invasion of Earth (a dramatisation of The War of the Worlds) — both written and directed by Nick. His role as creative director means he has oversight of the entire creative output of Big Finish.
Nick also co-hosts The Big Finish Podcast each week.
